A place for everything

The modern UK lifestyle offers a massive range of foods and delicacies from all over the world. Add to that the vast array of appliances available and it is little wonder that efficient storage is such a key factor in planning your fitted kitchens.

The first major factor in your choice is: free standing or fitted!.

Free-standing units and appliances can be taken with you when you move house; they can be extended and adapted as your needs and your budget change and they can sometimes help to accentuate architectural features in your home. Fitted units are by far the most popular option. They are available in a massive range of styles, finishes and accessories and can provide an instantly coordinated look. In practical terms, they can store massive volumes of food, equipment and general clutter, out of sight and in an organised manner. Remember, the more equipment and utensils you can store away, the more worktop space you liberate.

The units themselves are made to a range of standard sizes that can mix & match to fit almost any space. For even more flexibility of size, you can have customised units built but this will prove very expensive. You can also choose from an array of storage aids, such as carousels and slide-out shelf units to increase their capacity and help to bring more structure to your storage.

Some manufacturers can also offer different heights of units to suit tall or smaller people - or you could use a mixture of heights as a style point.
